Confirmation of Birthright
Upon attaining the age of 16, any time thereafter before the person's 31st birthday, a person born to a parent who is a UDC citizen (regardless of whether the parent became an UDC citizen before or after the applicant's birth) may, as of right, obtain citizenship upon:
- applying to the Secretary for Citizenship to affirm citizenship as of right.
- making formal assent and agreement with the Compact, Constitution, laws of the UDC and citizenship oath in force at that time,
- pass the UDC consitutional exam,
- pay the administration/processing fee.
The Secretary For Citizenship, upon confirming the successful completion of the above matters, shall affirm the applicant's citizenship. This is the only catgegory which does not require Polity approval.
