UDC Copyright Laws Promulgated

UDC Global Copyright Registry

The UDC promulgated its copyright law, and the attendant copyright registration regime on October 1, 2018.

The laws incorporate by reference the copyright laws of Canada, with necessary changes, and institute a registration regime. The registration system is designed to provide proof of copyright to claimants and be inexpensive. The registry will handle copyright registrations across the globe. Certificates of copyright registration are provided with each entry. Hard copy and additional certified extracts can be obtained, where a claimant needs it for legal or record-keeping purposes.
